Rules and Procedures

for the 2023 'Chuck Jackson' Fishing Derby

Members,

A new year has begun and so has the 2023 'Chuck Jackson' Fishing Derby.

All entries must be sent to our new 2023 'Chuck Jackson' Derby Coordinator Austin Davis at austin.da.carter@gmail.com. Austin has volunteered to manage the derby for the 2023 season. He will be taking over the Derby reigns from Hiroki Toma who we should all thank for doing such a fantastic job managing and publishing the derby results during the last few years.

Entries must include the Angler’s Name, Captain’s Name or landed location, date of catch, fish length rounded to the nearest inch or half inch (include how it was measured. T.L, CFL, LJFL, FL etc.) and fish weight (optional). If possible (not required), include a photo in Jpeg format in full size. Do not reduce pixels.

Additional Derby Info:

1. Leaderboard entries can be made for the entire calendar year (1/1/223to 12/31/23)

2. Fish may be caught out of season (Grouper, Flounder, Cobia, American Red Snapper, etc.) but must be safely released.

3. Awards for the winners of Captain of the Year, Saltwater Fisherman of the Year, and Freshwater Fisherman of the Year will be $150.00 per category.

4. Awards for Individual Leaderboard Winners will be $25.00 per category.

The final results for the 2022 'Chuck Jackson' Derby will be published at the January 10 Club Meeting.
